Perth - The Most Isolated Capital In The World
Sun, adventure, an awesome natural environment and friendly people - it's what you'll find on a holiday to Western Australia whatever time of year you visit.
Nowhere else in the world can you experience and interact with such unique natural attractions.
Dive with the world's largest fish - the whale shark, snorkel with manta rays, swim with wild dolphins, walk amongst the tree tops of ancient trees, sleep under a canopy of stars in the desert, or explore the beehive-like formations of the Bungle Bungles with the help of an Aboriginal guide.
Western Australia truly is the authentic Australian experience.
A climate to suit all occasions
The big variety of landscapes and climates in Western Australia means there is always plenty of sunshine, making it a perfect year-round destination.
It is a land blessed with spectacular diversity where the deep reds of ancient interior rock formations contrast with the sparkling blue of the Indian and Southern Oceans and the lush greenery of the stunning southern regions.
Western Australia is famous for its long days of sunshine, spotless blue skies and brilliant beaches.
The capital of Perth is Australia’s western gateway and a great place to start your holiday.
Perth City in the centre of Experience Perth offers an easy-going lifestyle – the beautiful Swan River and inner-city parks like Kings Park add to the relaxed, natural feel.
There is much to see and do in this part of the State, from swimming in crystal clear ocean waters to enjoying a sunny afternoon sipping a cold beer at an open-air pub.
Please visit www.westernaustralia.com for more information.
Should you wish to travel prior to or after the AFO tournament, please contact Mandy at Rosewood Travel. She can advise on the best places to go and stay while in WA!

WA Success at Australian Floorball Open 2006
WA Teams enjoyed their most successful AFO tournament yet at AFO 2006, held recently in Mornington, Victoria. This included two grand finalists, 6 AllStar members, and all 3 tournament Most Valuable Players.
Dingoes FC Men finished the qualifying rounds in 3rd place in Pool B (including a defeat over eventual champions Northern Beaches), but were unfortunately knocked out by eventual runners-up Story Bridge in the quarter finals.
Nordic Wolves Men finished top of Pool A after the qualifying rounds (including defeats of 2004 champions Story Bridge and 2005 champions Blue Tongues), but were also knocked out in the quarter finals by Northern Beaches.
Dingoes FC Women were hoping to repeat their championship win from 2005. The girls finished top of the table after the qualifying rounds, with 4 convincing wins and 1 draw. After a 17-0 defeat of Singaporeans RP Adroits in the SemiFinal, they unfortunately went down 1-2 to Vikings FC in the Grand Final.
Redbacks Juniors were contesting their first AFO (and their first tournament.) After a tough loss to 2004 and 2005 finalists Pakenham Pumas A in their first match, they finished 2nd after the qualifying rounds with 2 convincing victories. A tight SemiFinal win 4-3 over Mornington saw them into the Grand Final, but a much improved outfit unfortunately couldn't get over the line, going down 3-5 to Pakenham Pumas A.
